Totally Random for the New Year

The other day we were getting ready to go to a wedding. I asked Branden to get Nikh ready with the clothes I had set out on our bed. Of course, I had also set out Ember's tights on the bed too. So I got...
(Ignore the drunken face I am making)

Mommy, I think you bought the wrong size.

When Jo first got home, he brought presents for each of the kids. Since Nikh was only 5 days old, he brought her a stuffed animal. It was a tiger with a blanket that wraps around it. For those who do not know, Jo had a tiger of his own when he was younger. His favorite part was the tail which he would rub inside his ear and suck his pointer finger with the other hand. This tiger meant the world to Jo, to the point that when we lost it in Disneyland, we HAD to find it; and we did, thankfully. Now he has passed his love for the tiger on to Nikh. She goes to sleep with it every night and it comforts her when she is upset. I finally got a picture of her love for this tiger.

Zzzzz...suck suck...Zzzz....

I can see you! Don't you dare.

Ah, sweet sleep at last.

Well, the year is ending and I am at a loss for what to write. First of all, I missed my reading goal by a book and a half! That makes 38 1/2 books read in a year! How many will I read in the year to come??? This has been the first full year I have blogged and man was it a lot of work to keep up. However, I am thankful that I will have these memories to look back upon. We have had ups and downs and maybe even some sideways things happen. But we are healthy, happy, and together and that is what counts. I can only imagine what this new year will bring to our little family. Here we go...
Happy New Year!

Dancing Queen

And King. Last night my cousin Cassie got married. While at the reception Ember left her shyness behind and became our little Dancing Queen. Not quite sure where she got her "signature move," but it was fun to watch.

Later, Jordan also got up to dance the Boot Scoot n' Boogie. Truth be told, Jordan did go up to Ember earlier in the night and tried to dance with her, but she turned him down! So sad.

Loosen up Jo!!!

1...2...I Found You!

Grandpa Fletcher, I'm sorry, you have been replaced! Ever since Jo came home Ember and Lincoln have been so excited to see and play with him. When we arrived at my parent's on Sunday for dinner, Lincoln made it clear to his grandpa that he was there to play with Jojo. They again had to wait for him to arrive, which they weren't too happy about. And when he did get there, Ember kept asking him to play even though we hadn't eaten or anything. More waiting! Finally, after what I am sure must have felt like forever for them, they got to play. The two games they always want to play are tag and hide and seek. Check out the pictures of the favorite hiding place of the day!

Thanks Jo!
How in the world did you get in there?!

Jordan is Home!

Well, my brother Jordan came home from his mission yesterday! I can't believe it has already been two years since he left. I mean it is kind of weird to think about the fact that Ember was only 2 and a half and Lincoln was only nine months old! Weird. I did not go to the airport to greet him, but I know that many other family members were able to go. Branden, the kids, and I met them at Gecko's for dinner. Yum! He brought each of my kids a present. It was so cute when he was giving it to them. Ember got a water color and princess book combo. Lincoln got a SuperWhy doll that has sounds and the cape even moves! Nikh got a tiger wrapped in a small blanket. It really reminded me of when Jordan used to carry his tiger around by the tail!
Afterward, we met him at my parent's house. They videotaped the whole thing since the house has changed a lot in his absence. Plus, they had to get his reaction to the fact that they bought him a car...a MercedesBenz no less! Spoiled Bum! Oh well, I did get a BMW so I can't complain! :)
It good to have him home, even though he will be leaving for BYU tomorrow evening.

Good Luck Jo! We love you.
