My Little Superhero

Back on December 3rd we had a party for Lincoln's 4th birthday. Branden was nice enough to let me pay someone else to do it. We had it at Discovery Gateway. It was so much! And the best part was that I didn't have to entertain anyone at all, and no clean up afterward! Everyone got to go through the museum at their own pace and stay where they wanted until the party started. We had two wonderful superheroes that helped during the actual party. They were awesome! Both came dressed up as superheroes and played with the kids, including a balloon fight! The little superheroes then got to make masks and go through superhero training. Every superhero needs to be able to jump over hot things, crawl through small spaces, and avoid lasers. After getting to the hideout Linc had to be the lookout and peek out to make sure the coast was clear. I hope you had fun my little superhero! We love you.

When I'm Four...

Yesterday, my charming little man turned 4! I can't believe how much he has grown up. He loves cars, swords, guns, superheroes, and having books read to him. Some of his favorite foods include peas, rice, pizza with olives, noodles & tomato juice, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, and salad with Olive Garden dressing. Yes, my little boy is practically a vegetarian. He is so nice to both his sisters and loves playing with them. They really are his best friends. But probably the funniest (and most frustrating) thing is that for the past year we have tried to potty train him. He is NOT interested. However, he has told Ama and his daddy that "When I'm four I will be potty trained." Funny kid. Except that when we brought it up with him yesterday he now says "When I'm Five I will be potty trained." Like I said-totally and utterly NOT interested. Maybe someday...

I Love you so much and am very grateful that four years ago you came and joined our family.
Happy Birthday My Bubba-Boo!

Birthday Fun

First Birthdays are not big for us. Branden and I figure why spend a lot of money on a birthday our kids won't remember? So we celebrated Nikh's birthday a couple days early on Sunday. With just family...(yes, you Lance's are practically family!) It was fun to just spend some fun time together. Nikh was my little fairy princess. I found the cutest little wings at Target!

Branden and I made cute cupcakes that Nikh tried to devour. She really got into it after a little bit.

So much fun! Thanks everyone!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Oh Baby Girl I can't believe you are one already! This year has gone by way too fast. One year ago I was in the hospital with you in my arms wondering about how our lives would change with you in it. Gates up, furniture moved to block paths, baby-proofed house, bottles, late nights, and staring at your cute self while you sleep so peacefully. Aahhh...Truly I will miss the baby stage!

Happy First Birthday Nikh!

A Princess Party

Well, the princess party was a success! This was the first time that we had Ember invite friends over too.

Introducing:
Princess Ember

Princess London

Princess Ally

Princess Bella

When the girls first arrived they received tiaras and magic wands and we let them play. We had Tangled on in the background that they would come back to every now and then. I even have a picture of them dancing!

Dancing together during the Kingdom Dance song.

Then Branden came back with Burger King for everyone and we went upstairs to eat. (Remember, Ember does not eat pizza anymore!)
When everyone had gotten their fill, we let Ember decide what to do next. So we went to open presents! Lots of Princess stuff! Thanks so much to everyone! She said all of them were her favorite.

Next, it was on to decorating foam frames. Each girl received a foam frame to decorate with foam stickers. It was a lot of fun and kept them busy for quite a while since they had to peel the paper off the back. The girls took the frames home, but I also got a REALLY CUTE picture of them all dressed up together that I will copy and give to each girl to put in the frame.

Such beautiful princesses!
Finally, it was time to decorate cupcakes! They each got to decorate their cupcake with different colored frosting. It was fun, but also messy. I don't think their cake decorating minds have developed quite yet! All that came out of it were mountains of different colors piled high on top of a cupcake! We sang happy birthday and let everyone dig in after that.

All in all, it was fun! Ember was so excited that her friends were coming over. I still can't believe she's five years old! We love you Sweet Pea.

Happy 5th Birthday My Sweet Pea!

I can't believe you are actually five years old! I do not feel old enough to have a five year old. But you really have been a part of our little family for five years. Where has my little baby gone? You dance and sing and are such a good big sister to both your brother and sister. I couldn't have asked for more. It is so fun to see you smile and hear you laugh. And I especially love how you just have to sing while you are going potty...even a public one :) I love you so much Sweet Pea. I hope that your birthday was wonderful and that being 5 isn't too hard.

She just HAD to wear the BK crown for the picture!

Ember turned 5 today! For her birthday we were just going to do something with the family, but she asked if she could invite her friends. So we had to quickly come up with something to do with several 4 and 5 year olds. Hmmm...Princess Party! One of her favorite movies is Tangled. It is perfect that it came out on her birthday. So we are inviting a few of her friends to come dressed as princesses and have fun playing. We are going to have Tangled on in the background while we play some princess games, eat Burger King (Ember says she "doesn't eat pizza anymore." Wow, new one to me. Guess she really is my daughter...I don't really care for pizza :)  ), and decorate cupcakes. This is the first party we have invited more than just family or really close friends. My baby is growing up. ;) Look on Saturday for the post about how the party actually went.

Happy Birthday Linc

Wow, I am behind. So many things have happened. First, Linc's birthday party was a great success. We kind of waited until the last minute to plan it, so we kept it to just family. His greatest love right now is Toy Story 3. The cake, balloons, and of course the presents all had to revolve around the theme. We even watched the movie in between things. Thanks to all who made this a fun night for him!
Oops! Daddy forgot to take a picture before he cut the heads off and gave that piece to Linc!

3 Big Years!

My little boy is growing so fast! He is now 3 years old. Or at least he will be on November 29th. Linc is my little cuddle bug. Since the day he was born he has loved being held and cuddled. Even now, he will look for us so that he can come and sit in our lap and just be with us. He gives me hugs and kisses all the time...though I have to ask and sometimes pout to get them. He and I had fun going back to Fotofly to get his pictures done for his birthday. He was so excited because first of all he loves being a cheeser and smiling for the camera. And second because I had bought him a cupcake to eat in some of his photos. It was a lot of fun! Of course I did end up wearing that cupcake by the end! I love you my Linky-Loo. Thank you for coming -unexpectedly- into our lives.

I love you!

She's Here!

Well, after only sleeping for about 3 and a half hours last night, it was time to get up for my scheduled 5 am induction, but I still didn't have our baby girl until 1:06 pm. Oh well. She is beautiful. She even has a lot of dark curly hair! Where she got the curls I have no idea because I sure don't have any! Here are her stats:

Weight-- 6 lbs 12 oz
Height-- 19.5 in

Ember and Lincoln have been so excited to see their new baby sister. But when they got to the hospital they had to wait for about an hour to see her...she was in the nursery getting warm and stuff. Needless to say they got a little restless. But the pictures of their faces and the way they treated her was the cutest thing. Linc decided that when he held her he needed to rock her. And then when Ember tried to rock her, Linc decided that she was not doing it fast enough and was trying to push her to go faster. Ama and Grandpa had to slow him down! They love their baby sister. Thank you to those who have been able to visit us, and we hope to see the rest of you somewhere soon!
